DIY Schokobons – with 3 ingredients
Homemade Schokobons, or filled chocolate eggs, bring joy not only to the Easter Bunny. The best part: You only need three ingredients for your Schokobons. Inside, there’s white chocolate with hazelnuts, and on the outside, milk chocolate – and just like that, the classic Schokobons are ready.
Schokobons with Chocolate Without Added Sugar
In our recipe, the Schokobons contain much less sugar than the store-bought version. Do you prefer your Schokobons crispy? Then add some crunchy cornflakes or puffed oats to the filling. When you make your own Schokobons, there are no limits to your creativity.
Instructions
1. Since the white chocolate drops can only be melted at a maximum of 30 °C without clumping, we heated a glass in the microwave and melted the white drops in it while stirring. Alternatively, the chocolate drops can be melted in a water bath using a thermometer.
2. The chopped hazelnut kernels are then stirred into the melted chocolate.
3. The hazelnut-chocolate mixture can now be poured into an egg-shaped silicone mold or rolled into teaspoon-sized eggs with moistened fingers.
4. The chocolate mixture should now cool completely in the refrigerator for about an hour.
5. The whole milk drops can now be melted in the same way as the white drops.
6. Now dip the egg molds one after the other into the chocolate mixture.
7. Let the DIY chocolate bonbons harden again in the refrigerator.
