Grapefruit-Rosemary Lemonade Recipe
First, we make a syrup from grapefruit, rosemary, and blood orange tea. This syrup lasts for several days and can be reused to prepare this sparkling summer drink.
Instructions
- Peel the grapefruits and cut them into quarters. Set aside two small pieces for decoration.
- Blend the grapefruits with the blood orange tea for a few seconds in a blender.
- Roughly chop the rosemary and add it to the mixture.
- In a pot, bring the grapefruit-rosemary mixture to a boil with Xucker Light. Remove from heat and let it cool.
- Strain the mixture through a sieve to remove any pulp and rosemary.
- Pour the syrup into a bottle.
- Fill two glasses with ice cubes. Quarter the lime and press one quarter into each glass, then add it to the ice cubes. Also, add the blood orange quarters to the glasses.
- Gently hit the rosemary sprigs against your palm to release the aromas and place them into the glasses.
- Add the syrup as needed and top with sparkling water.
Tip: If you're mixing this drink over the weekend, you can easily turn it into a fantastic summer cocktail by adding a splash of alcohol!
