Immune booster carrot smoothie
Our immune system performs at its peak every day. A healthy and balanced diet can make a crucial contribution to this. Plenty of fruits and vegetables, little sugar, and whole foods should be on our meal plan.
Prepared as smoothies, you can easily and deliciously increase your daily intake of fruits and vegetables. Just make sure that the fruit content isn't too high, otherwise you'll consume too much fructose. Instead, try using spinach, kale, or, as in our recipe, carrots. Carrots are usually juiced, you might be thinking? That's what we thought too. But listen up: Carrots can also be processed into a creamy smoothie in a good blender. With orange, lemon, ginger, and turmeric, they become a real immune booster.
Carrot Smoothie Recipe
If you're going to enjoy the carrot smoothie without having eaten anything beforehand, a small dash of neutral oil should be added to the smoothie. This is because the fat-soluble beta-carotene from the carrots can be better absorbed by the body this way.
Instructions
1. Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend on high until smooth.
2. Strain the smoothie through a coarse sieve to remove any lumps, if desired, and then divide between two glasses.
3. Garnish the carrot smoothie with the carrot greens, if desired, and enjoy.
