Pear crumble
As the days get shorter and cozy evenings grow longer, we get an appetite for baked goods – do you too? What could be better than a warm pear crumble with a dollop of creamy yogurt?
Pear crumble recipe
This fruity dessert is quick to make and requires only a few ingredients, which you might even have at home. For a vegan pear crumble, the butter can easily be replaced with a vegan alternative.
Instructions
- First, we prepare the crumble topping for the pear crumble. To do this, mix the whole wheat flour, rolled oats, chopped walnuts, as well as the Xucker Bronxe and salt in a large bowl.
- Add the cold butter in cubes and knead everything together into coarse crumbs. Refrigerate for about half an hour.
- In the meantime, prepare the pear filling. Peel the pears, cut them into coarse cubes, and mix them with the lemon juice and the pear-vanilla fruit spread.
- Preheat the oven to 180 °C (350 °F) with upper and lower heat.
- Grease a baking dish with a little butter and pour in the filling.
- Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the filling and bake the pear crumble for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
